Tonight is the 2nd of Zack's Nahanted House parties. The NH is a mansion out on the end of Nahant, up on a precipice, stunning views. My band, Frank Drake, is playing along with seriously up-and-coming Josh Ritter and an organ-led jazz trio. Should be wicked. Last time it was.

Tomorrow we head to N. Falmouth for a big extended family Easter dinner. I'll probably stay there for a few days and do some more recording. Still trying to finalize on who's singing the many female parts I've got just sitting there for this thing. It's too complex.

Went to Dave Weinberger's Oscar party last night. My first time. The only rule I was aware of was 'no leaving until it's over'. I was trying to remember whether or not I've actually ever seen the Oscars all the way through. I don't think I have. So I can now check that one off. Thanks for a great time Dave and Ann. Maybe more ex-Interleafers next time.

Thanks to Paul for getting this all set up for me. I'll get going soon.

Ok, here's something. I went to my cousin Chris' 50th birthday party last night. Chris is the funniest person I've ever met. He's also a former architect and now a Brookline firefighter. His sister Viki works for NPR. She interviewed him after 9/11. Turns out his peer station is not only in New York City but is located at the foot of what was the South Tower. After a few days walking around feeling dazed and a kind of despair he went to New York. Chris' version is here.
